Meet BibRave Pro – Brittany Jackson!

Our BibRave Pros are a team of awesome run bloggers who run the best races and test the latest products. We asked each of our Pros to answer a few questions about themselves, their running history, and their favorite gear! If you have any comments or additional questions, let them know below!

Name: Brittany Jackson

Where I live… Sacramento, CA!image5.jpeg

I’ve been a BibRave Pro for… I’m still becoming one!

My main running goal for 2019 is… to finish my first full marathon, and then another one right after. I got into the Chicago Marathon & NYC Marathon last year and deferred, so I will be running them both in 2019. I also want to make a huge comeback to running.

My running shoes are… Nike Free Flyknits!

My favorite race distance is… as of right now 13.1 (only because it’s always been my favorite number) 🙂

My favorite races are… The Nike Women’s Half Marathon, The SF Hot Chocolate 5k/15k, and any of the Rock n Roll races.

My playlist includes… Dance music! I love running to the beat of music. So a lot of house and techno, too!

My pre-race routine… is a short shake out run the day before. I eat chicken and rice the night before, lay out my clothes, and try to get to bed early. Then I have a tad bit of coffee and a protein bar before I head to the start line.

My race day gear checklist includes… Headband, Garmin, KT Tape, Huma Gels, and Calf Sleeves.

Why I like being a BibRave Pro… I love that I get to share my experiences with the running community and anyone else who wants to know how awesome the races are. I know it inspires people and that’s what motivates me.

Post-race I always eat… In and Out…it’s well deserved and earned!

  1. Sacramento is my hometown! I still stop by once a year or so. There are some great places to run.

Nike Free Flyknits were my very favorite shoe for a while. That flyknit material hugs like a sock. 🙂
