BibRave is turning FOUR!!!

This is the first year since the launch that we’ve taken time to look back at how far BibRave has come as a company, as a brand, and as a community! BibRave started as a passion project for Tim and me – a way to give runners a voice at a time when options and choices were growing exponentially. Through the years our passion turned into opportunity, and as we head into our fifth year we will BOTH be working full-time on BibRave along with our amazing team that includes Andy, Erin, and Julia!

Here are FOUR of our favorite memories from the past 4 years.

Naming BibRave/BibRave Pros

If only we could recreate the endless series of conversations that took place either on a plane, in a car, or on GChat (yes, it was GChat back then). It was an epic series of spider diagram brainstorms, back-and-forths, questioning, doubting, reaffirming, and finally, deciding..

1st #BibChat

February 25th, 2014 we hosted our very first #BibChat. We didn’t have any metrics behind the chat back then, but there couldn’t have been more than a handful of people participating. We knew we wanted #BibChat to be what it is now – a fun, engaging, conversation about running and everything around running (e.g. food and stuffs!) – so both of us were typing our hearts out to bring as many people as we could into the conversation. Now #BibChat has become an endless stream of inspiring and hilarious posts that we are STILL struggling to keep up with!

1st Employee

What more can we tell you about the person who has worn SOOOO many hats as part of the BibRave team (literally orange hats, AND figuratively in all-encompassing jobs/roles!). Julia e-mailed us in the Spring of 2014, an enthusiastic runner looking to get more involved in the industry. Unfortunately for Julia, we couldn’t pay her a cent! But, we fed her as much as possible for her volunteered time, and a year later she officially become employee #1! We couldn’t be more fortunate to have such a passionate and organized person on our team.

Leadville Podcast

This special episode of The BibRave Podcast was such an accomplishment for the both of us. For Tim, it was the culmination of 9 months of grueling training and focus for a lifetime achievement, tackling his first-ever 100-miler. For Jessica, it was a mix of emotions – as crew captain keeping everything organized, as spouse cheering for a loved one, as podcast producer/host recording anything and everything with one hand while simultaneously crewing with the other. The hours of time spent listening to audio and editing was *almost* as much as Tim’s training (just kidding, not even close, but it felt like an ultra-marathon). It was such a new venture for us as a team, and we couldn’t be happier with how the episode turned out.

For those of you reading, thank you so much for being a part of the BibRave community :). We value having you here more than you could possibly know, and we can’t wait to see what’s next!
