The BibRave Podcast Episode 205: When Will Road Racing Return?

Hey there, BibRave peeps! 🧔

This week on The BibRave Podcast we bring you a conversation about the future of road racing with Patrick McInerney. Patrick is VP of Engagement and Innovation at EnMotive, a tech platform that powers a TON of events across the country, from your local 5K to 40,000-person events like Hot Chocolate Chicago, along with some crazy-successful virtual races.

EnMotive either owns, operates, or provides tech solutions for races in countless markets in North America, so he has unique insight into what’s happening to road racing and what we can expect in the future. Tim, Jess, and Patrick discuss when we can return to in-real life events, the economics of a race and the countless liabilities race operators face, the fact that most races LOSE money on expos, the future of expos, and what a successful virtual event entails.

There’s definitely some good news and some bad news in this episode, but it’s a very real, honest conversation with someone who knows a ton about the sport and wants nothing more than to be hosting in-person events soon!

Before we chat all things racing, there are only two weeks left for you to nominate your fav races for The BibRave 100! šŸŽ‰ Take a look at the last decade and be sure you nominate the best of the best!
