Portland, OR – BibRave, the running industry leader in grassroots digital marketing, hosted the first virtual ambassador summit for their network of running influencers and content creators, the BibRave Pros. The weekend featured a combination of educational content, a TikTok contest, an on-the-run scavenger hunt, meet-and-greet sessions, and an award ceremony. While 2020 marked the first time BibRave hosted a virtual ambassador summit, the company has hosted in-person summits for years.
The BibRave Pros were one of the first turn-key, endurance-focused ambassador networks for races and brands to leverage in spreading the word about their events and products. BibRave has continued to invest in their own program while also applying specialized ambassador management best practices gained over the last six years to manage and grow ambassador communities for other organizations like Brooks Running, AfterShokz, and the Hot Chocolate Race Series to name a few.
The weekend began with a welcome kit full of BibRave gear and brand partner products like Knockaround sunglasses, delivered in advance. After a virtual group run/scavenger hunt that included audio clues delivered in real time, participants were placed into various breakout rooms to chat and get to know each other better. Next, BibRave hosted an AMA (Ask Me Anything) with Co-Founders, Tim and Jessica Murphy, followed by pre-recorded video interviews with nutrition and sports psychology experts. Finally, the weekend wrapped up with an in-depth social media best practices session, and an awards ceremony send-off session.
“Ambassador management is coded deep within our DNA, and the BibRave Pros are how we stay on top of trends within our sport, on social, and across other tech platforms,” said Jessica Murphy, Co-Founder of BibRave. “This weekend was so fun and valuable, connecting BibRave and the BibRave Pros on an even deeper level while adding additional value for our brand sponsors. That connection is key to creating an engaging, healthy community of social influencers.”
The weekend also featured the Zestie Award, which recognizes ambassadors who have been a part of the BibRave Pro community for five full years. Four more BibRave Pros received Zestie Awards, bringing the total recipient count to five.
As companies struggle to stay authentic, relevant, and creative via digital and virtual events, BibRave is working with race, brand, and charity partners to use all of the lessons learned from their own virtual summit and managing communities of endurance focussed ambassadors for six years.
BibRave works with races and brands to help them engage with runners and ultimately drive more sales and registrations. Through their large network of running bloggers (BibRave Pros), their popular Twitter event (#BibChat), and The BibRave Podcast (Apple, Android, or Spotify) BibRave helps endurance brands and races go beyond simple advertising and truly connect with more runners.
The company’s consumer-facing product is a race review site where runners can learn about a race before signing up, and leave feedback after the event.
