We’re bringing you the fourth episode in a series of special edition podcasts we’ve created with our friends at AfterShokz – the unrivaled maker of bone conduction headphones. The series is called Making It and explores the pathways, trials, and tribulations of a variety of athletes as they try to “make it” at the highest levels of their sport.
In episode 4, we present From Zero to Ultra – Jeff Browning, Making It AfterShokz Podcast Series by BibRave. In this episode, we take you through the incredible ultra-journey that is Jeff Browning’s running and racing career. You’ll learn how “seeking adventure” was just the start of a lifelong passion that was always burning inside Browning. His determination and commitment to the sport of ultrarunning helped him make it in this difficult-to-crack sport.
Browning quite literally fell into the ultrarunning scene while trail running with a friend. Today, Browning has 28 ultramarathon wins and 19 hundred-mile wins on his running resume. Through his meticulous attention to detail, he’s mastered the training, diet, and recovery that propelled him to the top of ultramarathon podiums around the world.
Browning wanted to help others succeed the way he has, so he started a coaching company, and is now a highly sought ultra coach. In a sport with very few opportunities to make a career flourish, Browning was able to turn his passion into a profession.
We hope you enjoy this exciting conversation with Jeff Browning as much as we did! Be sure to share your thoughts with us on Facebook, Instagram, or Twitter.
