The BibRave Podcast Ep. 40: Ice Baths – Bad? Inflammation – Good?

In episode 40 of The BibRave Podcast, Dr. David Harmon (aka Cholesterol Dave from Episode 34: Nutrition Confusion) joins the show again, and we discuss something extremely important for runners to understand: inflammation.

Dr. Harmon dispels several myths and misunderstandings about inflammation, describing what happens during inflammation and why it’s super important for performance benefits. That means, stopping inflammation through things like ice baths and ibuprofen? Probably counter productive if you want to keep those GAINS!

Anyway, another super interesting conversation and we hope you enjoy. We also filmed the recording via Facebook Live, so check it out if you want to see what everyone looks like! 😂

Show Notes:

For those digging the sweet ukulele intro music, that comes to us from the talented musician and running coach, Matt Flaherty. Check out his site for more audio goodness!
