This week Tim and Julia are joined by BibRave’s new Community Manager, Erin Tierney! We talk about how she became a runner, what she was doing before BibRave, a bit about her new role, and what’s in her racing future!
Julia then talks about trail running, along with some tips and gear that keeps her hitting the dirt.
Finally, we end the show by talking about FOOD. We all share our favorite nutritious foods, along with (the more-fun-to-talk-about) foods that are “bad for you.”
NOTES:
- Erin talks about the BibRave Shakeout run that’s taking place before theHonolulu Marathon, and you can find more details on her blog, Erin Runs Around.
- For the record, they’re called “MALASADAS” and, holy crap, they are GOOD.
- Here’s where Tim got a lot of the info about one of his favorite nutritious foods – Pacific Salmon. The Atlantic and the World Wildlife Federation
- Here’s the Oatmeal article that started it all (Runner’s World)
For those digging the sweet ukulele intro music, that comes to us from the talented musician and running coach, Matt Flaherty. Check out his site for more audio goodness.
